Last spring, I photographed a prom session at Pike Lake in Hartford, Wisconsin, and it ended up being one of the windiest days ever. I am not exaggerating when I say the wind did not let up, but we used it to our advantage and it created some gorgeous photos of Lindsey and her boyfriend.

Prom is such a fun milestone, and sessions like this are a great way to capture all the excitement that comes with it. And honestly, if you are already getting all dressed up, wearing a beautiful dress, and doing your hair and makeup, it is the perfect time to step in front of the camera and document it. This is one of those moments you will want to look back on later.

A Windy but Fun Prom Session in Hartford Wisconsin

Lindsey and her boyfriend were absolute troopers through the entire session. Instead of letting the wind ruin the experience, they leaned into it, laughed, and just enjoyed being together.
