As a mom myself, I totally get how tricky it can be to plan a family photo session (whether it's with little kids or your high school senior). That’s why I make it my mission to keep things easy, relaxed, and fun.

You can call me Missy or Mel — whatever feels right. I live in West Bend, Wisconsin with my amazing husband, our sweet daughter, two lovable pups, and our very friendly cat.
When I’m not behind the camera capturing all the good stuff, I’m usually soaking up time with my family, taking the dogs for a walk, or sipping on a probably-too-big coffee while we’re out exploring. We love being outside, which means I’ve found so many gorgeous spots around the area and I'd love to share them with you!
Hey, I'm Melissa
When I'm not behind the camera or editing photos, I'm usually spending time with my family. My husband and daughter are the most important people in my life, and I love making memories with them whenever I can.
Family
One of my biggest passions outside of photography is dogs. From 2019 to 2023, I dedicated a lot of my heart and time to rescuing and fostering dogs from Texas, both on my own and with local rescue groups. I proudly wear the badge of “pet-friendly photographer.”

Although I've slowed down a bit on the adventures since having our daughter, I still love to be outdoors. Hiking and exploring new parks and areas is my favorite thing to do.You can't go wrong with a nice long Ice Age Trail hike!

What it's like to work with me
Even as a photographer myself, I know what it feels like to be in front of the camera. I need direction, too! I really appreciate when my own photographer guides me so I'm never left wondering what to do, and that's exactly what I'll do for you. I'll provide simple, easy prompts so you'll never feel awkward, and I'll make sure your kids stay engaged throughout the session. And if your spouse isn't super excited about photos... neither is mine, so trust me, I get it!
I also know firsthand what it's like working with kids. As a mom, I understand that comfort is key. I love connecting with your children right away, getting on their level, and making sure they feel comfortable. Once they're at ease, we focus on capturing your family as you are, whether that's playful, chaotic, or just being yourselves.
My goal is simple: for you to walk away thinking, "Wow, that was actually fun!" and then receive a gallery full of moments that truly feel like your family.
