Senior photos should feel fun, natural, and true to who you are — but I also know how nerve-wracking it can be to step in front of the camera, especially when you’re meeting your photographer for the first time.
As a senior photographer serving West Bend, Jackson, Slinger, Kewaskum, Cedarburg, Hartford, and surrounding Wisconsin areas, my number one goal is making your senior session feel relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable.
Here’s exactly how I make that happen:
1. Every Session Is Built Around Your Personality
No two seniors are the same, so no two sessions should be either.
I adapt the entire flow of your session — posing, energy, pacing, and prompts — based on your personality. Whether you’re outgoing, shy, goofy, or more serious, your photos will reflect your personality, not a forced version of someone else’s.
This helps creates images that feel natural, relaxed, and like YOU.

2. I Know How to Break the Ice (and Get Real Smiles!)
Let’s be honest — senior photos can feel awkward at first.
That’s where my job begins.
I’ll either:
- Have you do something silly to loosen up or
- Do something absurd myself to make you laugh (cause I love to make myself look like a fool 😅)
Once that first smile happens, everything gets easier. The nerves fade and the real confidence starts showing up in your photos.

3. We Plan Every Detail Ahead of Time
A smooth session starts with good planning. Before session day, we talk through:
- Your vision
- Your outfits
- The style you love
- The type of scenery that fits YOU
For seniors in West Bend and surrounding areas, I help choose locations that match your look — and give you the variety you want.
One of my favorites?
Downtown West Bend. The mix of architecture, brick buildings, scenic bridges, and even late-summer florals creates so much variety in one spot. It’s perfect for seniors who want a modern, colorful, and stylish backdrop.
Good planning = no awkwardness, no guessing, and no last-minute panic.

4. Posing Is Customized to Your Comfort Level
Your posing should feel natural — not stiff or forced. I choose poses based on:
- Your personality
- Your comfort level
- Your outfits
- The vibe you’re going for
If a pose feels awkward, we change it. If something feels natural, we keep building on it.
Comfort always comes first.
5. I Remember How Awkward MY Senior Photos Felt
I will never forget getting my own senior photos done. Even though they were taken by a family friend, I felt so uncomfortable — my hands didn’t know what to do, my smile felt weird, and I just felt awkward the whole time.
That experience is a big reason why I’m so passionate about making every senior feel relaxed from the start. Most seniors are meeting me for the first time, and I never want anyone to feel like I did.
You’re trusting me with a huge milestone, and my job is to make that feel fun, comfortable, and confidence-boosting.
Your Senior Session Should Be Fun — Not Stressful
My goal is simple:
To help you feel confident, comfortable, and genuinely excited about your session so your photos capture who you truly are.
If you’re a senior (or a parent of one!) in West Bend, Jackson, Slinger, Kewaskum, Cedarburg, Hartford, or nearby areas, let me help you plan the perfect senior session.
